| The Rams won't reach in the 1st round for Bradford or Clausen knowing Tebow will be here. We all know who Tebow is so I'll skip the intro but one thing I want to clear up is that he is actually an accurate QB. It is true that he has a bad delivery, average arm strength and needs to learn to run an offense from under center. I can't remember when I've seen a more uncomfortable, unconfident looking passer playing in the senior bowl. However, Tebow has a beautiful, accurate deep ball and is as accurate as any QB in the draft in the short to mid range. Once he gains confidence in himself with a different release and throwing from under center, he'll be fine. |

| The Lions have nothing that anyone should fear at the CB position. Robinson had a poor senior year which is what pushes him to the 2nd round, but he did pretty well in the Senior Bowl. He is more of a man coverage guy which is what Shwartz likes to run more often than not. Robinson has average ball skills, but great athletism. |

| The Bucs are okay, but nothing special at the WLB and MLB positions and Weatherspoon is just too good to fall any further. Weatherspoon only falls this far due to greater needs for the teams at the bottom of the 1st round. He is very fast and athletic and is a great vocal leader on the field. Where he needs to improve further are his instincts. He played well in the senior bowl, but he seemed a little robotic at times at Missouri and was overly glued to his assignment. For someone with his skill set he should have produced more INT's (2 of his total 4 came in the same game) and tackles near the line of scrimmage. |

| The Chiefs finally pick up the OT they need here. I think Campbell will make a better RT in the NFL but he can play either position. Since B. Albert can play OG or OT picking up Campbell will allow the Chiefs to move whoever they want to RT, which is their biggest problem. |

| The Redskins need O-linemen as bad as they need a QB. They're all either old, terrible or both. USC has put a lot of productive O-linemen into the NFL recently. Brown isn't as good as Sam Baker which is why he's still available here, but he is a pretty good player. He is inconsistent, but when he is on he is good in both run blocking and pass protection. |

| Since the Browns don't have a pass rusher to aid the secondary (which I addressed in pick #1 for them) I think their need in the passing game outweighs the need at CB. Also with Cribs demanding a trade Gilyard kills 2 birds with 1 stone. Gilyard is big and his speed isn't that special (about a 4.5 40) but he makes up for it in toughness, good hands and great vision once he has the ball in his hands. He will drop the occasional ball, but in general he has great concentration. I think he compares very well to Santonio Holmes. |

| ***Alualu, Tyson, DT Cal*** The Raiders need O-line and DT help but they need more help at DT than LT and no OG is worth taking here. Alualu has played a little DE but his best fit is at DT and he proved that during the senior bowl and the week of practices. He simply a great pass rusher with a quick first step and an array of moves. He is also pretty good against the run and he is consistent overall. He is a little undersized but that is the main reason he is still available here. |

| The Seahawks CB's get beat deep and short. Jennings just plain sucked and is a bust in my book for a former 1st round pick and none of the other CB's are a consisten threat to the CB. Cox has been a consistent player and is best in man coverage. He is generally in the right position as he has a ton of pass breakups with his quick twitch acceleration. He doesn't do much in run support, so he will have to work on that at the next level. |
| |
| The Bills take a LT here out of necessity more than anything else so they grab the last starting calibur one here. Capers is another inconsistent player, but he has the enough of the physical skills to play LT in the NFL. He has a good size and frame (6'5" 300 lb) and quick feet for his size. He is just an average run blocker and get beat occasionally on the 2nd pass rushing move, but most of his flaws are very correctable. He is an important piece in C. Gailey implementing his offense. |

| |
| Bringing in a another pass rusher might not be a bad idea for a team that needs a defensive overhaul. Sapp has dealt with injuries, but when healthy he was strong yet slippery guy who regularly got pressure on the QB. I think he is a better overall DE than Gaines Adams (R.I.P) or P. Merling were and can really help the Patriots. |

| |
| After taking two CB's and a WR within their first couple of pics, how can Parcells help to take a few linemen and LB's this year? Dunlap could be a bit a of a character risk after his DUI, which is part of the reason he is available here. The other is that he never really lived up to his potential in terms of production. He was always hot or cold and plays a little to upright for his size (6'6"). However, at 290 lb he is a great fit as a 3-4 DE and his ability to get to the QB when he is hot is undeniable. |

| |
| The Bucs have an inferior receiving core aside from K. Winslow. A. Bryant and M. Stovall will be FA's and Clayton just plain sucks. Shipley is a polished WR who has great hands, runs sharp routes and regularly gets seperation. He's only still here at this spot due to his age (25) and too many unfair comparisons to W. Welker. Shipley played as a wideout as well as a slot guy at Texas so there is no reason to think he can't be a wideout in the NFL. |

| McDaniels doesn't appear to be too happy with his interior O-line based on what I've read. He seems to want more physical play in the trenches without giving up agility in an O-lineman so Johnson would make sense to draft here. Johnson was the one opening up most of the holes for the first Heisman winner Alabama has ever had. Johnson has great technique, is very disciplined, physical and quick. He'll fit right in for the Broncos. |

| The boys in blue took a giant step backward this past season...pun intended. I was never sold on Boss as a long term replacement for Shockey and I think he was exposed this past season. They have giant problems on defense as well (okay I'll stop) but Gresham is too talented to pass up at this spot. If he hadn't been injured he would be a sure 1st rounder. He is a more dangerous weapon that Pettigrew was last year because Gresham is faster and a better route runner. His hands are just as good if not better and is a good enough run blocker. |
| |
| The Panthers are finally on the clock with this pick. Although they used a 2nd rounder on a DE last year, he's a bit undersized and mainly comes on the field in passing situations. The Panthers need someone of Peppers size who can play the run and pass as they will likely lose him this year as opposed to paying him $20 million and using the tag. Wootton is a very consistent player and has the frame (6'7" 280) to play LDE, which is where he is needed in this defense. He is an excellent run stopper, but he also uses great technique in rushing the passer and isn't one-dimensional. |
| |
| The Patriots definitely took a step back on defense after R. Seymour was traded to Oakland. Hardy is a little small right now for a 3-4 DE, but he is a solid 6'5" 275 lb. He has the frame and long arms to put on another 15 lb to play DE in this defense. His final season in college was littered with injuries, but when healthy he has proven to be an excellent pash rusher. He is excellent value for this draft position. |
